- St. Polycarp of Smyrna (c. 155 AD)

- St. Andrew, the brother of Peter, was crucified in the Greek city of Patras. He was bound to an X-shaped cross, a form of crucifixion now known as the “St. Andrew’s Cross.”
- St. Bartholomew the Apostle (c. 1st century)
- St. Bartholomew, according to tradition, was martyred by being flayed alive and then beheaded. His martyrdom is believed to have occurred in Armenia or India, depending on the source.
